The theme of resources maintains its hold on us. But this time the issue is not dealing with the historic substance but rather creating an amount of value out of practically nothing. Who would have thought that an Indian slum could become the most desirable development project in a metropolis with a population of millions? Building values using minimal means: the manifest poverty in emerging countries means this is done with waste materials, in Europe, in contrast, despite (or because?) of the temporary shortage of money it is carried out at a high technical level.
