In recent decades a succession of initiatives from business and architecture has moved timber structures from the fringe to the centre of the building industry. And has shown that today there is hardly any type of building that cannot be erected in timber - from the small kindergarten to the trade fair hall, the high-rise office block and multi-storey housing.
