More beautiful piece-by-piece The vision of Markus Langes-Swarovski, whose sees the headquarters of this globally active crystal producer as more than just a creative and business hotspot and aims at transforming the huge company grounds, piece by piece, into a "beautiful place", is gradually taking shape. Not least of all through the architectural accents that have been placed in recent years. Architects with very different signatures have been commissioned, among them, several times already, the Norwegian architecture practice Snohetta or its Innsbruck branch whose architects designed the wonderful play tower in the garden and a corridor leading into the Swarovski Crystal World, as well as the building for the restaurant "Daniel's". Now they have built the Swarovski Manufaktur. A place laid out as a unique hybrid of production space and creative laboratory, which stands at the centre of the extensive factory complex. It is connected by a bridge to the Swarovski office building designed by Hanno Schlogl, which was also completed last year and is entirely different in formal terms. The Manufaktur fills a former gap between the buildings, the shape of which decided its floor plan. The distances to the neighbouring buildings are small, as the result of which visitors barely register the facades.
