Louis Lumiere College is located on the border of the quays of the Doubs river, sited between the octagonal geometry of historical center's streets and the curved river. This particular situation brings human traces face-to-face with nature's traces and is also at the origin of the project. On the river side, the U-shaped main building of the college faces the river is in line with the quay. On the town center side, the new square building tries to reconstitute an architectural rapport with the existing buildings of a heteroclite architecture. The historical geometry of the site was given due consideration when in confrontation with the program. A magnificent willow "lives" at the space where an empty edge joins the old center to form the entrance court. Inside the main building, above the sunken gymnasium, a playground in the "Balcony on the Doubs" is edged by facades in a rhythmical succession of wood pilasters. The restaurant, information center and common room are brought together around the court.%ルイ・ルミ工－ル・カレッジはドゥー川のrn岸辺、歴史的中心地区の街路によってつくrnりだされる八角形の地形と湾曲する川の間rnの敷地に位置する。こうした特別な立地条rn件は自然の痕跡に人間の足跡を対峠させるrnものとなり、さらにこの計画の原点ともなrnっている。rn川に面するコの字型をしたカレッジ本館のrn側面は川岸に揃えられ、－方町の中心部のrn方からは、新しい正方形の校舎が不規則なrn形をした既存の校舎に調和する建築的な関rn係を再確立しようとしている。rnこの敷地を形成する歴史的な外形にはこのrn空間を計画する際に相当な考慮が払われた。rn堂々とした柳の木が1本、何もなしヽ敷地の端rn部と古い中心地区とが合流する所に生育し、rnエントランス・コートを形成する。本館のrn内部では半地下の体育館の上部にドゥー地rnrn　方を臨むバルコニーの内部の遊技場がリズrn　ミカルに木造の柱型を並べるファサードにrn　よって縁どる。レストラン、案内センター、rn　そして共用室が中庭を囲んでまとめられてrn　いる。
