ユトレヒト大学のキャンパスは、1つの都rn市と呼べるほどの様相を呈している。OMArnが手がけたその都市計画は、大学関連施設rnをコンパクトに集積するというもので、おrnかげで既存のランドスケープはそのもち味rnを損なっていないどころか、むしろ勢いをrn増しているくらいである。地域に学生向けrnの住居がようやく建てられるようになると、rnこんどは夜遊びの場所がないという問題がrn浮上した。%The campus of the University of Utrecht is growing into something that might be called a city. The urban plan by OMA rrnconsists of a compact clustering of university related buildings leaving the intrinsic qualities of the existing landscape intact rrnor even reinforcing them. Since student housing became possible in this area, nightlife became an issue as well: a local bar rrnwas needed. The cafe will serve as the informal center of the campus; a relaxed meeting place for professors, researchers and rrnstudents. It will be positioned right under the Van Unnik Building, the 80-meter-high logo for the University as a whole.
