JKMM Architects

JKMM Arcnitects was established in 1998 by Asmo Jaaksi (right, above), Teemu Kurkela (right, below), Samuli Miettinen (left, above), and Juha Maeki-Jyllilae. They designed the Finnish Pavillion for the Shanghai EXPO 2010 in China (a+u 10:07), City Library in Seinaejoki (a+u current issue), and House of children in Saunalahti (a+u 12:08). JKMM Architects has won prizes in nearly 50 architectural competitions, including 20 first prizes. Miettinen is the chairman of the Association of Finnish Architects' Offices and a Board Member of the Finnish Association of Architects. Miettinen has received several awards for his works, including Finnish State Award for Architecture 2007, Finnish Steel Structure Award 2007, and Finnish Glass Structure Award 2007.
