Bukkedauen Hotel and Coastal Culture Center

Bukkedauen is a small island centrally situated in the bay of Svolvaer city on the coast of northern Norway. The island and its old buildings, which are well known by the locals, have been out of use for a number of years, but has a rich history tied to fishing and boats. The small island is dominated by a large concrete automotive bridge raised 10-12 m above the sea. Today the bridge gives the site a strange "no man's land"-feeling, combined with a grand view towards the natural landscape and coastal settlements.
