Johan Celsing Arsta Church Stockholm, Sweden 2011

The church is located on a hill overlooking the square at Arsta. Arsta is a postwar suburb of Stockholm with well-known public buildings (library and peoples house auditorium) by the distinguished architects Erik and Tore Ahlsen. The project for the church started with the erection of a bell tower in 1952 followed by a parish building in 1968. The parish hall has functioned as a chapel until the church was inaugurated on August 21 of this year. The project for the church started with an invited competition in 2006.
