Promenade Urbaine

摘要

Under Professor Kees Christiaanse, the former dean at ETH Zurich, 2 masters theses were written that addressed the idea of a cycling bridge across the track field and was turned into larger urbanistic projects. The location chosen for the bridge is not only the widest part of the track and field, it also uses an existing train viaduct from the 19th century to build on. The first project was designed by Alban Kuelling. Apart from the bike and pedestrian connections, it includes bars, restaurants, art spaces, and other attractions to activate the train tracks and the neighborhoods.
