The Fashion Runway project was designed to highlight Yunlin's local products, and showcase the industrial potential of Yunlin as No.1 in its competitors. The project brings to life local fashion and creates a green lifestyle; using the simple canopy frame of Taiwanese Ban-do culture (banquet on the street), transforming and expressing Yunlin's vigorous energy into a space. Paying tribute to the Great Exhibition (of the Works of Industry of all Nations) in 1851, which created a sublime surprise in the form of a Crystal Palace, an interconnected truss structure module creates the impression of a "dance". Three canopy structures gradually transit into a large cantilevered organic space, the exterior of the canopy was laid with a translucent canvas and the interior grassy plot was planted with betel nut trees. Amidst the golden structure, the wooden floor deck had variations in height, and exterior and interior views was equally penetrative. The project served not only as a piece of architecture but also an exhibition object, subtly revealing that even through ordinary means, great surprises can be hidden within.
