Addressing the body of work of an architect usually means identifying and sharing rigor in the approach to history, technique and nature. Singularity arises when the response can be given value in the context of the place of arrival. This is especially relevant in the contemporary world, where the experience of perenniality is relativized, and the transient and ephemeral is placed in the center, or rather, in the various centers. Manuel and Francisco Aires Mateus operate with this reality, while resorting to ideas of permanence.
