In early November I spoke at a media conference with Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore, Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Cities and Regional Development Anthony Albanese, NSW Member for Sydney Alex Greenwich, NSW shadow ministers Tania Mihailuk (Family & Community Services) and Penny Sharpe (Heritage) and Green Bans hero Jack Mundey. We announced court action challenging the legality of the Minister's decision not to list Sirius on the State Heritage Register. The Save Our Sirius group has raised over $50,000 in a crowdfunding campaign to support this legal challenge. A well-attended march and rally in September tapped the high level of public awareness of the issue, generated by reporting and comment in both mainstream and social media.
