Lorens Holm has said the aim of Brunelleschi, Lacan, Le Corbusier is 'to construct an account of architectural space that is an elaboration of the psychoanalytic account of the subject'. His premise is that Freud and Lacan revolutionised the conception of the space of an intimate self, and it would seem legitimate therefore to ask what this revolution might offer a critique of architectural space.
