CITIC PLAZA

摘要

An office building of over 200 meters and a low-rise commercial building in the Hongkou district across the river from the high rises of Lujiazui in Shanghai. The area retains historic buildings and traditional commercial functions. Continuity with the streetscape was expressed by harmonizing Citic Plaza's colors, textures and scale with the surrounding buildings and by reinterpreting the neighborhood alley space (lilong) found in the traditional housing of the area.
