Abstract In this, his last essay, the late iconoclast Mark Cousins, former Head of History and Theory Studies at the Architectural Association in London, explores the gaps between making architecture, abstracting it in model form, talking about it and writing about it. He reveals a schism in which words become slippery as we inhabit multiple worlds.
