This is an opportunity to reflect on the events of the past year and also anticipate what lies ahead in 2011. On the advocacy front, the Institute has remained active at both the national and local levels. The Institute's success at overturning the proposed legislation, which removed the exemption of architects and engineers from the fitness of purpose warranty for consumer transactions is a good example of the Institute's improved ability to advocate for the profession at a national level.
