摘要

AC loss is very important theme for the application of multifilamentary BSCCO tape in power cable and transformer, and the major part of AC loss comes from hysteresis loss generated in the filaments by transport current in those application for practical frequency. Until now, transport current losses were measured in a short length specimen, and its results were compared with the Norris equation. Also, HTS coils for power application such as transformer has been of the wound pancake type. But eventually, the coil for power application must be wound solenoid type such as LTS cases. In this paper, the experimental results for critical current and transport current loss in solenoid type winding coil with BSCCO tapes are presented. The authors make a bifilar winding coil for accurate measurement of transport current loss by removing external field effect generated by transport currents flowing in other tapes in the coil. They compare the measured result with calculation result using Norris equation for the verification of the experiment
