摘要

We have discovered, after publication, a processing error in our manuscript regarding the units of the experimental optical force in Figure 3. The experimental optical force should have been expressed in pN and not in nN. The corrected version of Fig. 3 is presented here. In the original article, Table I is also incorrect due to the same processing error. The correct Table I is shown in this erratum. Due to the same processing error, on p. 2, second column, last paragraph, the last sentence "The maximum trapping force of 4.3nN,..." should be replaced by "The maximum trapping force of 17.7pN,..." Finally due to the same processing error, on p. 3, second column, first paragraph, the last sentence "The remarkably high quality factor of Q = 9.86 ±0.12, obtained with silver-coated silicon microspikes, is comparable to quality factors obtained with other plasmonic optical traps" should be omitted.
