摘要

Optical pulses of over 10-W peak power and 20-ps duration at 410 nm were generated by gain-switching an AlGaInN-based self-pulsating laser diode (LD) with a saturable absorption layer (SAL). The slow tail components of the optical pulses after the first optical peak were considerably suppressed compared with the optical pulses generated by a gain-switched AlGaInN LD without a SAL.
