If you went to CES 2018 this year, you know that it was huge. How huge? If CES had been its own municipality it would have ranked as the 127th largest city in the U.S., as if the entire population of Tallahassee, FL, had convened in Las Vegas to talk consumer tech and the Internet of Things (IoT). I perused the show, giant booths and all, took plenty of pictures and made note of trends in product design and major technologies. I saw a proliferation of smart sleep, sensors to detect our every breath, robots galore-and it seemed that wearables are (still) everywhere. I was particularly impressed by the explosion in the numbers of robots that can act independently.
