David Newsome and Ross Dowling are quickly establishing themselves as two of the leaders in the emerging academic field of geotourism with their second outstanding edited volume on the subject. Sequels are traditionally of lesser quality and impact than the originals but that is definitely not the case in this instance. This latest volume contains descriptions of geotourism resources from numerous areas so compelling that the reader will be inclined to begin packing for a trip before finishing the book. Further, they are written by some of the true leaders in geotourism. The range of topics in this volume is also impressive, covering many aspects of the field. It would be nearly impossible to have broader coverage.
