Short communication: determination of free silica in a set of toners

摘要

A recent publication suggests a link between occupational exposure to toners(e.g. in a photo- copying shop)and a pneumoconiosis type of disease. A set of toners used for printing or photo- copying was analysed to identify the presence of crystalline silica. The result of this survey indicate that the use of the analysed toners does not represent a risk of silicosis.
