TAILINGS DAMS SAFETY IN NEW SOUTH WALES

摘要

The recent performance of tailings dams in NSW is summarised, and a case made for a new regulatory scheme aimed at improving the level of understanding and compliance with the requirements currently set by the State dams safety regulator. It is proposed that the scheme would include increasing the frequency of reporting to the Committee, setting more detailed design requirements, and requiring Management Plans.
