In classic TAS style, the February issue contains a variety of topics, ranging from the extremely applied and relevant to the admittedly less practical but extremely mathematically "cute" and interesting. We start with a special section on what may be the most important and influential function of statistics and statisticians, namely official statistics that guide public policies.
