Erich Lehmann

Erich Lehmann, a statistics professor at the University of California, Berkeley, died on September 12, 2009, at the age of 91.rnLehmann was born in France and fled the Nazi invasion with his family in 1933. He attended college in Cambridge, England, and came to Berkeley in 1940 as a graduate student. He was the author of several books and journal papers and awarded many honors, including the Wald and Fisher lectureships.
