The past 90 years of source water protection and the history of JOURNAL AWWA share remarkable similarities. Growing recognition of the importance of protecting water supplies at the source has paralleled technical advancements, policies, and practices as well as the growing sophistication of the water industry at large and of AWWA in particular.
