Nonleaded brass - A summary of performance and costs

On the basis of this review of existing literature and information gathered from utilities and manufacturers it was determined that:rn1. Nonleaded-brass alloys are available for the manufacture of drinking water components. Some of these alloys incorporate selenium and/or bismuth to replace the lead (Envirobrass and FederAlloy), whereas another one uses silicon and phosphorus (ECO BRASS).
