Making WaterSense Work for You: How Dallas and USEPA Teamed Up for Fix-a-Leak Week 2010

Saving water, forging new partnerships, serving the disadvantaged, heightening public awareness about the need to conserve water-all are worthy pursuits, especially if they can be accomplished in one fell swoop. What utility wouldn't want to save more than 2 million gallons of water each year? In March 2010 the US Environmental Protection Agency's (USEPA's) WaterSense program selected the city of Dallas, Texas, Water Utilities (DWU) to spotlight its national Fix-a-Leak Week event. To identify the 2010 Fix-a-Leak Week spotlight community, WaterSense asked its utility partners to submit their best ideas.
