New water treatment plant features first dissolved-air flotation system in Illinois

After six years of planning, design, and construction, Staunton, I11., has replaced its deteriorating municipal water treatment plant-circa 1925-with a modern, 2-mgd facility that incorporates the state's first dissolved-air flotation (DAF) clarification system in the process chain. Korte and Luitjohan (Highland, I11.) completed the project in February 2013.
