Many water/wastewater utilities are eligible for federal disaster funding but do not have the key information or forms to apply. USEPA's launch of Fed FUNDS provides a comprehensive tool to support efforts by utilities to apply for federal disaster funding. Such funding can provide a utility with crucial money to recover from and mitigate disaster impacts. As part of its effort to introduce Fed FUNDS to the water sector, USEPA is launching a series of workshops and webi-nars on federal disaster funding for water and waste-water utilities. In addition to Fed FUNDS, USEPA will continue to develop other materials, tools, and programs that benefit utility disaster preparedness and response.
