Import Operations and Compliance Benchmark Study: Two Worlds Collide

American Shipper and BPE Global designed this year's study to provide readers with a deeper understanding of the trends and issues impacting U. S. import operations and compliance managers. In late March and early April, 343 quali-fiedrespondents participated in a31-question benchmarking survey covering organizational structure, training, responsibilities, operations processes, costs, technology, and more. A key item of note is that this study exclusively looks at issues related to importing goods into the United States. While many findings in this study are global in nature, trade issues, regulations, and compliance vary from country to country, and these issues should be looked at individually when considering other origin and destination pairs.
