Richard Nichols replaced Jochen Meissner as CEO in June 2012. Nichols, a former president of Terex Cranes (West-port, CT) has spent most of his career in the mining and construction industries. Chief executive Bernhard Schreier will step down at the end of 2012, after 13 years in the top job, almost 40 years with the company. Dr Gerold Linzbach, a former chief executive of D+S Europe, assumed the CEO duties as of September 1, 2012. Linzbach, who holds degrees in chemistry and chemical engineering, has served in various roles with the DECHEMA Institute, McKinsey, Hoechst, Aventis, Symrise and D+S over the course of his career.
