Liberal, KS .-Organizers of the Gas Compressor Institute have always sought to provide attendees with practical information in a hands-on atmosphere, and a new technical session at this year's GCI that allows attendees to renew their hydrogen sulfide certification on site is the latest example of that commitment, according to Jim Wilson, 2005 GCI chairman. "H_2S certification renewal has to be done every year any way," comments Wilson, president of Great Plains Gas Compression. "By offering the certification at GCI, we can kill two birds with one stone. This is brand new this year, and we want to have more of this type of hands-on activity in the future." The 53rd annual GCI is set for April 19-20 at the Seward County Activity Center in Liberal where Wilson says 175 exhibit spaces will showcase the newest products and services in all compression-related fields. Doors open at 7 a.m. both days, although the exhibit hall will temporarily close during the two keynote addresses, both of which will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 19 and 20.
