OptiLIFT Unveils Technology That Advances Artificial Lift

Houston-OptiLIFT Technologies says it has developed an electric submersible pump that can be deployed and retrieved by wireline. The technology permits full service of the ESP's pump, seal and motor through the tubing, the company reports. By enabling ESP intervention without a rig, the technology will significantly reduce production deferment and save millions of dollars in rig costs, OptiLIFT asserts. The company adds that the technology makes preventative maintenance, inspection and servicing programs affordable, allowing operators to maximize well uptime, ESP run life and return on investment. According to OptiLIFT President and Chief Executive Officer Greg Schneider, the wireline retrievable ESP is only one of many innovative artificial lift technologies that OptiLIFT will deliver to the full spectrum of oil and gas wells.
