As the first significant development offshore the Republic of Ghana, the Jubilee Field was an ambitious world-class deepwater project in an area with no infrastructure. Ranking as one of the largest finds offshore West Africa in the past decade, the field's discovery has opened a significant hydrocarbon province in the Tano Basin in the Gulf of Guinea. Jubilee's development was executed on an aggressive fast-track schedule that advanced the project from discovery to first oil production in three and a half years. Meeting the aggressive development schedule required the fast-track execution of the turret-moored floating, production storage and offloading vessel, the Kwame Nkrumah.
