Dresser-Rand Makes LNG Using Small-Scale Plant

Dresser-Rand reports that its first small-scale liquefied natural gas plant, LNGo™, has produced liquefied natural gas. Dresser-Rand notes it designed, built and commissioned the demonstration plant. The company says the plant has entered extended performance and endurance tests as a final step before full market release. "We are very excited about this tech- nology for small-scale LNG production, which allows for very small, stand-alone plants that are portable and can be moved to support changing requirements and needs," comments Vincent R. Volpe Jr., Dresser-Rand's president and chief executive officer. "The standard LNGo plants are sized to produce 6,000 gallons of LNG a day."
