We all know the feeling. Deadlines, anxiety, sleepless nights, you can't turn off. If you feel like you are losing control then the chances are you are stressed. Stress is now the biggest cause of sickness and absenteeism in the UK, costing the economy billions of pounds a year. Engineers on the whole are pretty good at coping with stress, provided it's in the same sentence as strain and Young's modulus. But calculating the load over area of life is a far cry from what engineers are used to.
