Leo Godley, 14th ASHP president, dies at 93

Charter member Leo F. Godley, M.S., who served ASHP at its highest levels and received the Society's highest honor, died May 22 at his home in Fort Worth, Texas. He was 93 years old.rnGodley's health had been declining in recent years, said son Paul, who followed his parents into a career in pharmacy.rnLeo Godley served as the fourth ASHP secretary in 1947-48 and as ASHP president in 1957-58. He was first vice president of the American Pharmaceutical Association in 1959-60.rnGodley received the Harvey A. K. Whitney Lecture Award, the most prestigious honor conferred in hospital pharmacy, in 1969 and was made an honorary ASHP member in 1978, the year he retired.
