Changing Patient Health-Risk Behavior Requires New Investment in Primary Care

Evidence supports the effectiveness of primary care interventions to improve nutrition, increase physical activity levels, reduce alcohol intake, and stop tobacco use. However, implementing these interventions requires considerable practice expense.
