摘要

When I ask drycleaners if they call new residents moving in town, most say "No." I've heard comments such as "They know where to find me," "We're the biggest cleaner in town, so everybody hears about us," "I don't have the time" and "I don't like to beg." The few who say they do contact new residents usually send out circulars with coupons, or employ a Welcome Wagon service that visits homeowners to make presentations featuring several area businesses. Almost no owner or manager gets on the phone personally and asks for newcomers' patronage. And that's what I'm going to suggest in this article.
