Vogue Fabrics offers sewing classes

For drycleaners interested in adding an extra service to their operation, Vogue Fabrics is offering sewing classes for beginners and experts alike at its Chicago-area locations. In the beginning sewing class, Veronica Brackett will teach drycleaners to sew and enjoy it, the company says. First-time sewers will learn to read, lay out and cut store-bought skirt patterns-even inserting zippers and waistbands, making pleats, and stitching hems. The class covers all the basics necessary to start on any sewing project, Vogue says.
