Cottina Group has introduced Dye Lock, a dye "magnet" designed by textile engineers and chemists to provide an insurance policy against ruined laundry loads. Drycleaners are often challenged by varying degrees of dye colorfastness, Cottina says, with apparel manufacturers located in every corner of the world. Dye Lock catches loose dyes in the wash cycle, then holds the loose dyes to prevents them from redepositing on garments, the company says. The product has undergone rigorous testing for more than a year, and an independent lab has found it to be very effective in the capture of loose dyes from the wash bath, Cottina Group says.
