Ohio DOT and SC&RA group meet regarding divisible load interpretation

A group of SC&RA members based in Ohio are working with the Ohio Department of Transportation to settle differences regarding the impact of divisible load interpretation on the mobile crane business.rnOhio recently instituted a policy on overweight permits that mirrors Federal regulation (23CFR 658.5). However, the regulation gives enforcement flexibility to states in situations where overweight permits are allowed. SC&RA members working in Ohio have witnessed a more strict and punitive interpretation of the divisible load mandate in the enforcement of component removal.
