Recently, gasoline and its base fraction have been produced bynreforming naphtha and/or fluidized-bed catalytic cracking ofnhydrotreated vacuum gas oil and/or atmospheric residue. The oilnproduced by these processes contains a large amount of aromatic andnolefin components that give it a high octane value. However, recentnfuel quality regulations reduce the permissible levels of aromaticsnand olefin. Consequently, a new catalyst is desired to produce lighternisoparaffins from heavy paraffins by isomerization andnhydrocracking to produce high-octane gasoline
