摘要

MOFs are an emerging class of solid-state materials built up fromnmetal-based nodes and organic linkers. They exhibit permanentnporosity and unprecedented surface areas which can be readily tunednthrough coordination chemistry at the inorganic node and organicnchemistry at the linkers. As exemplified by many catalytic enzymenassemblies in nature, site-isolation is a powerful strategy fornperforming several catalytic reactions to synthesize complexnmolecules in an efficient way. MOFs provid an exciting platform forndeploying different homogenous catalysts as building blocks.nImportantly, the catalytically active moieties in these materials cannbe made in a site-isolated fashion and the cavities surrounding themncan be engineered to conceptually mimic enzymes.
