The Birmingham show took place November 8-10, 2013, featuring 125 exhibitors and drawing more than 25,000 attendees. There were 15 competition categories, the most popular by far being the tiered wedding cake category with 245 entries, although several others-novelty cakes, sculpted novelty cakes, shoes and handbags, decorative exhibits and cupcakes-each had 50 entries or more for a total of more than 1,000 competition entries. This represents a stunning 65% increase over last year, definitely the largest showcase of its kind in the world!
