Armed with a notepad, a beach towel, and some sunscreen, I sat down to read The Business of Baking. The first sentence begins, "I never intended for this book to be read cover to cover." "Hmm, that's too bad, Michelle," I thought to myself. Because I'm about to devour every last word. After all, if anyone needs to read the book in its entirety, it would be me. After trying out a Wilton class for a recent birthday, and subsequently gobbling up every online tutorial I could find, I have decided to look into beginning the process of making cakes for a living.
