How did you get your start as a cake decorator? What is your background in baking? I started life as a trainee chef working in a five star hotel kitchen. My job was mainly preparing meat and vegetables for the other chefs to turn into finished meals. My head chef soon put me onto the deserts and pastries because of my gift for making things look beautiful. After a few months he then advised me to do something more creative with my skills and this led me to three years of training at bakery and confectionery school where I found my love of baking and sugar artistry, the rest is as they say history.
