Kobe Steel's aluminium forging plant in China in full production

Kobe Steel, Ltd. has recently celebrated full-scale production of its aluminium forging subsidiary in China. Kobe Aluminium Automotive Products (China) (KAAP China) was established in September 2010 to produce aluminium forgings for automotive suspensions in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. After production start in August 2012, the company embarked on an expansion, which now enables integrated production from melting to forging. KAAP China is a joint venture of Kobe Steel (60% share), Mitsui (25%) and Toyota Tsusho (15%).
