Constellium developments expand capability in transport applications

Constellium has recently made some key process, product, R&D advances, together with major investments to further reinforce its prominent position in its aluminium manufacturing for transportation markets. The company recently used a major trade platform to spotlight for the first time its new streamlined CNC-machining capability that it has developed for producing customised parts ready for assembly. At the international trade fair for transport technology, Innotrans 2014 staged in Berlin, in September the company featured, for the first time, a full-scale interactive cross-section model, comprising its Pavim structural extrusions based on the Warsaw Metro's body shell. This was among its broad portfolio of light-weight materials and sustainable engineering solutions that address customers' technology and business challenges in a costefficient and innovative way.
